Students from Šilalė Darius and Girėnas progymnazsum (Lithuania) had one of the project activities which was about the choosing profession in the future. We visited the center of professional education where we learned a lot of useful things about safe behavior on the roads, good manners in society. Some of the students had the opportunity to become a guide for their classmates.

ELS Day at ZSO, Nidzica!!!
During the event students from Polish ELS team had a chance to present Erasmus+ program and ELS project not only to the rest of our school community but also to the invited guests: students and teachers from schools from Nidzica and neighbouring villages, media representatives and parents. We were also honoured by the presence of the previous mayor of Nidzica, Mr Ryszard Kumelski and the head of local authorities, Mr Marcin Paliński. We spent the day explaining what the project is about, showing some videos and pictures, handing ELS leaflets around. We also presented some souvenirs from ELS mobilities, talked about the partner countries, their culture and traditions. We also encouraged our guests to adopt a healthy lifestyle by giving them healthy snacks: apples, bananas, peaches and pears 

On 29th November 2018, 97 students of the Private Vocational School Pro scholaris and other pupils from the regional primary and secondary schools had the opportunity to attend ELS Day, that was a part of the school’s Erasmus Day. From 8 a.m. till 12 p.m. they participated in workshops and seminars. Invited guest, Ms Kristína Zadňančinová, expert for healthy diet, explained the basic characteristics of healthy lifestyle. During the workshop realized in one of the classrooms, the students discussed with her their eating habits and physical activity. The teachers of economy and marketing prepared workshops focused on bank products and household economy. During one of the seminars, the participants could discover their personal strengths and weaknesses thanks to the special personal survey, they also created their CVs and cover letters using the Europass template.

We also invited everyone to try out our “healthy food” recipes one day!!! 

On April 19, Aušrinė Pudževytė, who is known as the pseudonym of Aube, was in attendance at Šilalė Darius and Girėnas progymnasium. She is an interior designer, painter, photographer, and traveler. Aušrinė agreed to share her valuable practice of life with young people: she spoke about dreams and how they come to life, about science and studies which help them to grow, telling a lot of secrets about goals and sharing tips on how to plan properly and strive for them. She demonstrated her colorful works of art which were created while traveling around the world and revealed some interesting stories that had become significant in her life. The meeting was held in the field of Erasmus programme ” Essential Life Skills”. Students also could meet with policemen, firemen who told about their profession. Girls had the possibility to work in the beauty salon and learn how to do make-up, manicure, how to cut hair etc. Students also made a research about these professions and made presentations about this kind of work.
